About Us - Christian Olympic Village

Christian Olympic Village (COV) was born from a vision to create a sanctuary for those seeking spiritual growth and community connection. As the founder, I experienced firsthand the profound impact that faith and fellowship can have on one's life.

COV is a campus hub that is founded on a non-traditional church that has two support components to include a Warrior Intensive Training Academy and Christian Community Self Haven.

Our objective is to tend to the holistic needs of all persons in the local community. As a church that will tend to the spiritual needs of members, we also desire to equip them in practical ways to serve in the capacity God has called them to. When considering whom to serve, our desire is to reach all, but with a strong emphasis on the least of these to include the homeless and low-income persons.

Those aspiring to serve the Lord need a safe, supportive place in which they can explore, develop and cultivate spiritual giftings, callings and engage in acts of service. Our Warrior Intensive Training (WIT) Academy will mentor, train and prepare them for service. The WIT’s will have an opportunity to utilize various laboratories for production, social media, fashion creation, the quad and the chapel on site as well as engage in outreach at local parks, homeless shelters, jails, etc. Mentors will work with WITs to develop an Individual Learning Plan (ILP). WIT’s have the option of a daily drop-in seat or residential seat in which they will be housed on site.

Their main audience will be the homeless and low-income persons that will be served at the Christian Community Safe Haven (CCSH). CCSH patrons will have access to meals, showers, laundry, daily stays on cots for rest and recovery while receiving the word through sermons, bible study, intercessory, prayer and pastoral care through our WIT’s.

Our goal is to build up all participants in the WIT and CCSH holistically. A gym, library, kitchen will be available and required for WITs. CCSH patrons will have the opportunity to join the WIT Academy after being on site for 30 days and completing a 7-day probation period in the academy.

Additionally, our internship/ transition to work program will provide opportunities for all COV members to gain employment skills, build resume to cover employment gaps, complete community service obligations and school internship/practicum requirements.

Take a minute to explore these components in greater detail.

I thank you for the time you have invested already and look forward to your continued interest and support.

Let us be the generation of Generals to birth the next generation of Warriors all while serving the least of these together. Let us be the church at work!

Sincerely,

Jennifer Anderson
